LET’s Connect
I joined Bay View High in ninth grade and continued on to do my A-Levels. I was honoured to be appointed Head Girl for the year 2010-2011.
Bay View High provided me with a well rounded education and high levels of support and encouragement, and I graduated with A-Level distinctions and a wide range of extra-curricular experience.
The sense of community at Bay View High, as well the opportunity to try many different activities was pivotal to developing my confidence and interests. I attended LUMS for my undergraduate studies, majoring in History.
I then pursued my MA in South Asia Studies at the University of Pennsylvania on a Fulbright Scholarship. I have just finished my DPhil (PhD) in History at Oxford University. While pursuing my studies, I have had the chance to teach History at Oxford University, as well as gain work experience in several museums and heritage organisations in the UK and USA.

Since joining Bay View High School for my A Levels in 2008, it has played a crucial role in shaping both my personal and professional journey. Bay View not only honed my critical and analytical skills but also encouraged me to explore beyond traditional business subjects into the realm of creative arts. This newfound courage propelled me towards pursuing filmmaking during my university years.

Hello BVHS community. My name is Anum Baig, from the class of 2008.
I spent six years at Bay view High School, starting as a newcomer and quickly finding a sense of belonging. I hosted spirited events, organized proms, and eventually became a prefect in A levels.
My journey started in a small campus behind Ocean Mall (Mideast then), and then later switching to Bay View High’s now beautiful heritage building for O-levels. Over time,
I have come to realize what a pivotal role this school and its teachers have played in shaping my personality, my values, and the direction I have taken in life. The teachers and staff members are more like family; you graduate and move on in life, but they are always there, cheering for you, supporting you, and being there for you.
