“Play, The Work of The Child” – Maria Montessori

Play Therapy is a therapeutic technique whereby a child’s natural means of communication, i.e. play, is used as a means to support him/her in dealing with difficulties including social, emotional and behavioural challenges.

Benefits of Play Therapy include:

  • Allows children to express and regulate emotions healthily
  • Improves their ability to learn well
  • Enhances their ability to build and sustain healthy relationships
  • Builds children’s resiliency

Currently, the Play Therapy Programme is being offered at the Junior, Clifton Campus and PECHS Campus.

Whole School Preventative Approaches to Mental Health

Here at BVHS, we believe that raising awareness about mental health and well-being amongst our parents, students, and teachers is the best way to ensure all our community members are equipped to deal with life’s challenges. For this purpose, we frequently conduct teacher trainings, and student and parent seminars on well-being topics.
