Parents as Partners:

Parental involvement is key in Primary Education. At BVHS, our Parents as Partners program engages parents as active participants in their child’s learning. We are committed to maintaining open lines of communication and establishing a strong partnership with our parent body.

Designed specifically for primary learners, the purpose built buildings’ classrooms are spacious, filled with natural light, and equipped with air conditioning and projectors, creating a stimulating and tech-based learning environment.

ABOUT the CURRICULUM

We believe in active learning, teaching critical thinking and testing without tears. Instead of announced tests at an early age, we hold unannounced and ongoing class assessments which are a natural reinforcement of the child’s  learning. Announced monthly tests are only introduced from Grade III onwards and students are provided with detailed guidance and preparation. Formal Examinations of only the core subjects begin at Grade V in order to prepare the students to meet the challenges ahead.

We believe that learning should be an exhilarating journey of discovery, where every student is empowered to explore and engage with the world around them. Our Reggio-Emilia inspired ‘Learn Through Discovery’ curriculum for Grades 1 and 2 transforms education into an adventure, placing students at the helm of their own learning. Through an inquiry-based approach, students investigate real-world wonders, following their own interests with autonomy. Imagine subjects like English and Environmental Science coming alive through immersive projects that ignite passion, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.

For Grades  3 – 5, we offer a curriculum based on an IGCSE framework for primary years, which combines an interactive, student-centered, and experiential teaching methodology. The project-based approach and e-learning techniques help students gain deeper knowledge and enhance essential life skills like problem-solving, collaboration, and adaptability, ensuring a holistic academic experience for every child.

OUR teachers

Qualified with Cambridge Professional Development Certification, many of whom have earned distinctions, continually enhance their practices to meet diverse student needs. With a focus on inclusion and innovative teaching, we ensure every student is equipped for academic and personal success, cultivating a love for learning.

Understanding the transition

As your child graduates from Early Learning to the Junior Years programme, they are exposed to new challenges both in their personal growth and their academic journey. This is an important transition in their lives and  needs to be carefully balanced. Upon completing Grade 5, students transition seamlessly to the Senior Clifton Campus located on the same road in Clifton Block 1.

EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING DEPARTMENT

The success of introducing a new stage of academic challenges and learning experiences to your child is ensured by providing a supportive environment. Our Student Counsellors are emotional wellness specialists who are present at every level of learning and continuously working to ensure that your child’s future teachers and campus staff are aware of their learning requirements and transitional needs. The support continues from Campus to Campus.
